Repeat Prescriptions
To order a repeat prescription please –
1. Use our online Patient Services which is available 24/7. Registration forms are available HERE.
2. Hand in your repeat slip (which should have been with your last prescription) to reception at Heilendi.
3. Hand in your repeat slip to Sutherlands or Boots in Kirkwall (please note this takes longer as the chemist has to deliver the slip to Heilendi).
4. If you do not have the request slip, please write down the medications you require along with your name, address and date of birth and return to Heilendi, Boots or Sutherlands in Kirkwall.
Please note –
- If you are returning the request slip please only tick the medications that you require.
- We ask you NOT to telephone your requests to Heilendi unless you are housebound or living in Shapinsay. This will greatly help us to provide you with an efficient service and reduce the chance of errors occurring over the phone.
- For Heilendi Practice patients, please allow a minimum of 7 days before collecting your prescription from your nominated chemist.
- For North Ronaldsay and Shapinsay patients, please allow at least 10 days to ensure we can deliver the medication back to your practice in good time.
New Patients
We are unable to issue repeat prescriptions to new patients before they have been seen by one of the GPs. If you are on repeat medication please ensure that you make an appointment well in advance of your medication running out.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
